Cancelling a Prepay Account

Cancelling a Prepay Account

There are a couple of ways to cancel your Prepay Three account.

You can contact Three Customer Care and request that your account is closed. Keep in mind that this will mean that the number will be cancelled and no longer available.

Or you can port your number. This means your number will be moved to another network, which will automatically result in your Three account being closed.

  • If choose to move your number to another network, please be aware that your credit will not transfer. If you have credit remaining on your account, you may be entitled to a refund. For more information, click here.

Cancelled due to no Activity

In accordance with our Prepay service terms and conditions, services may be restricted or terminated as a result of no top up being purchased or no chargeable use for a period of 12 months.

Therefore, to ensure that your account remains active, it is important that you top up your Prepay account at least once every 6 months, or a chargeable event takes place on the account (e.g. making a chargeable call or text). This will ensure that the number remains active.

If the above terms are not met, we will send a notification to the account (usually via SMS) to remind you. For more information on this, please check out our blog, All About: Keeping your Prepay Number Active.
