Make Calls or Send Texts & MMS 


Make a call


  • Dial the number you want to call.
  • Press the call button.

You can also start typing a contact's name. When you see the contact or number you want to call, highlight the contact and press call.


Send a text


  • Open the Messages app.
  • Press the Blackberry button and select Compose SMS.
  • In the To field enter a number or a contact's name.
  • Type your message.
  • Press the Blackberry button and select Send.

Send a picture message


  • Open the Messages app.
  • Press the Blackberry button and select Compose MMS.
  • In the To field enter a number or a contact's name.
  • Type your message.
  • Press the Blackberry button and select Attach Picture.
  • Select the image you want to send.
  • Press the Blackberry button and select Send.

Add my Email Settings


Contact the Forum for help with adding email to your phone. 


Pair a Bluetooth Device 


  • Switch the Bluetooth device on.
  • Press the BlackBerry® button. 
  • Select Manage Connections.
  • Select Setup Bluetooth.
  • Select Search.
  • Select the device you want to connect to and enter the passkey, if required.
  • Select Yes.

 Connect to a WiFi Hotspot 


  • Press the BlackBerry® button.
  • Select Manage Connections.
  • Select Wi-Fi and check the box to turn it on.
  • Select Setup Wi-Fi Networks.
  • Select Next.
  • Select Scan For Networks.
  • Select the name of the network you want to connect to.
  • Enter the password if required.  

Unlock Phone

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.


You should remove the sim card from your phone before unlocking it.

  • Turn on your mobile phone.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Go to Options.
  • Go to Advanced Options.
  • Go to Sim Card.
  • Type MEPD using your BlackBerry ® keyboard (You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing).
  • Type MEP2 (MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then 2) (You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing).
  • You will then be prompted to enter your unlock code.
  • Enter your code and then press trackball to confirm.

Turn off your phone and turn it back on again - your phone is now unlocked.
