Make Calls or Send Texts & MMS

 

To make a call:

 

  • Tap the Phone icon.
  • Dial a number and tap the green call icon.

To dial a contact tap the Contacts tab and select a contact call.

 

To send a text or MMS:

  • From the apps list, tap Messaging
  • Tap New message
  • To enter contacts, you can:
    • enter a phone number in the To field. If you want to add more than one number, tap the + icon after each number
    • tap the contacts icon next to the To field to choose contacts from your contacts list
  • Tap Type message and write your message
  • Tap the Send icon
To send a picture message tap the attachment icon before tapping Send. Tap Picture to select a picture to attach to the text.

Add my Email Settings

 

  • On the homescreen, tap the Email icon
  • Choose the type of email account you want to set up. Most personal email accounts will work with Others
  • Enter the email address and password of your email account, tap Next
  • If your email settings don't exist on the phone, you'll be asked for some extra information. You should contact your email provider for this information 
  • You'll be asked how often you want your phone to check for email. Depending on your email provider, you might be able to sync your phone contacts and calendar with your account. Tap Next
  • When the information is accepted, you'll need to name your account and tap Done
  • If you get an error message make sure you have entered your email address and password correctly.
If you're still getting an error you can try adding your email manually: 
  • Tap Email.
  • Select Others.
  • Enter your email address and password.
  • Tap Manual setup.
  • Select POP from the Protocol dropdown.
  • Enter your email username.
  • Enter the Incoming email below POP server. This is the Incoming Mail Server for your email provider. 
  • Select None from Security type.
  • Enter 110 below Port.
  • Untick Login required.
  • Enter the Outgoing mail server below SMTP server. This is the Outgoing Mail Server for your Internet provider.
  • Select None from Security type.
  • Enter 25 below Port.
  • Enter a name for the account and then your own name.
  • Tap Finish

If you're having issues accessing the Internet it's good to check that your settings are correct.

Pair a Bluetooth device

 

  • From the homescreen, tap and hold the notification bar at the top and slide your finger down. 
  • Tap Shortcuts
  • Tap Bluetooth to switch it on
  • Tap and hold Bluetooth to choose your device
  • Tap on the device you want to connect to

Connect to a Wifi Hotspot

 

  • From the homescreen, tap and hold the notification bar at the top and slide your finger down. 
  • Tap Shortcuts
  • Tap Wi-Fi to switch it on
  • Tap and hold Wi-Fi to choose your network
  • Tap on the network you want to connect to
  • Enter the wireless password and tap Connect

If you get an error message make sure you have entered the password correctly.

You should also check that the network is open to public use. 

 

Unlock Phone 

 

Click here to request the unlock code.

 

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.

 

  • Enter a SIM card from another network in to the phone.
  • Enter the PIN for the SIM Card if you are asked.
  • You will be prompted to enter the unlock code.
  • Enter the unlock code and restart the phone to complete the unlock process.
