Make Calls or Send Texts & MMS 

 

Make a call

 

  • Tap Menu.
  • Tap the Phone app.
  • Dial the number you want to call and press Call.

To call a contact open the Contacts app and select the contact. Tap the number you want to call.

 

Send a text or picture message

 

  • Tap Messaging.
  • Tap the New Message icon.
  • Select the contact you want to text or enter the number manually.
  • Write your text and tap Send.
  • To send a picture message tap the attachment icon before you tap Send to choose a picture to include.

Add my Email Settings

 

  • Go to Apps.
  • Select Email.
  • Enter your email address and password.
  • Tap Next.
  • Your phone will automatically detect your email settings.
  • Enter a name for the account.
  • Enter the name to appear on outgoing emails.
  • Tap Done

If you get an error message make sure you have entered your email address and password correctly.

 

If you're still getting an error you can try adding your email manually:

 

  • Select Email.
  • Select Other email account.
  • Enter your email address and password.
  • Select Manual setup.
  • Select POP3.
  • Enter your username.
  • Enter the Incoming email below POP server. This is the Incoming Mail Server for your email provider. 
  • Set Port to 110.
  • Set Security Type to None. Select Next.
  • Enter the Outgoing mail server below SMTP server. This is the Outgoing Mail Server for your Internet provider.
  • Set Port to 25.
  • Set Security Type to None.
  • Untick Require Sign-In. Select Next.
  • Set the retrieval interval. Select Next.
  • Enter the account and display name.
  • Select Next.

If you're having issues accessing the Internet it's good to check that your settings are correct.

  • Access Point Names 

Pair a Bluetooth Device 

 

  • Turn Bluetooth device on.
  • Tap Options.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Wireless & Network.
  • Tap Bluetooth Settings.
  • Tap Bluetooth to turn it on.
  • The phone will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Tap the one you want to connect to.
  • Tap Accept. 

Connect to a WiFi Hotspot 

 

  • Tap Menu.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Wireless & Network.
  • Tap WiFi Settings.
  • Tap the checkbox beside WiFi.
  • Once there is a green tick here WiFi is on.
  • Tap it again to turn WiFi off.  

If you get an error message make sure you have entered the password correctly.

You should also check that the network is open to public use. 

 

Unlock Phone 

 

Click here to request the unlock code.

 

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.

 

  • Enter a SIM card from another network in to the phone.
  • Enter the PIN for the SIM Card if you are asked.
  • You will be prompted to enter the unlock code.
  • Enter the unlock code and restart the phone to complete the unlock process.
