Can't top up on mobile internet

Since the my3 app changed a few months ago, I haven't been able to top up using mobile internet when I have no credit. I can see balance and browse a lot of the my3 app, but anything topup related, whether instant or trying to schedule one fails to load. This also happens on the three website if using a browser - I can look around lots of things on the my3 site, but topups always time out. I end up having to wait until I am back on wifi. This may have been the case long before the app changed, but I had been using low balance top up until that was removed.

 

Is this intentional? Surely when I have no credit is precisely when I would want to top up, right? Why allow me to browse most of the my3 app but block off the feature that is most necessary to access when out of credit?
