I don't receive certain text messages

I don't receive text messages but only from certain people and especially from companies that send verification codes via text. Is there anyway to rectify this?

I'm not sure that I am experiencing the same problem because I don't seem to be receiving messages from certain personal contacts either.

@Tess thanks for coming back to me. Can you let me know if you are BillPay or Prepay? When did you start noticing this? 

Are you able to send text to the people you can't receive text from?
