
Congratulations on your purchase of our 5G home broadband and welcome to Three Bill Pay 😊 In case you are new to either Three or Bill Pay, we have put together a step-by-step guide to talk you through your first bill.
First up: We have three 5G broadband plans, which start at €39 per month:
- 3 Broadband Unlimited 5G Gold 24-month contract Three 5G FWA ZTE MC7010 installed by a technician – €39.00
- 3 Broadband Unlimited 5G Silver 24-month contract Three 5G FWA ZTE MC0182A self-install – €39.00
- 3Broadband Unlimited 5G 12 Month contract Three 5G FWA ZTE MC0182A self-install – €45.00
For this example, we are using the 3 Broadband Unlimited 5G Gold plan. Below, you will find an example of what the first bill looks like.

Just to note: Previous balance and Payments received are zero because this is the first-ever bill. Click here to read our price guide and get more information.
These plans are pro-rata, which simply means that they are billed a month in advance.
Your billing cycle date or the start of your billing month isn’t the first day you sign up for 3Broadband Unlimited 5G gold, but starts a few days later.
For you, this means your first bill will be higher than the cost of your plan (monthly price plan charge). This is because you will be charged a portion of your monthly plan charge for the first few days and your full monthly recurring charges for the month ahead. These will show as ex. VAT on your bill, as VAT is calculated separately and then added to make the total.

The breakdown: You are able to view your full bill in PDF form via My3, and you can download it to your device to take a closer look at the details of your first bill, or any bill for that matter! Pictured above is an example of what you can expect. This is a 3Broadband Unlimited 5G Gold 24 Months example.
Here, you can see the charges for the few days between signing up and then the charges starting on your billing cycle date. You will also notice your "Inclusive Allowance" section, which shows your monthly allowance. Then the itemised usage, which shows the “previous month's usage”. In the case of your first bill, the usage ranges from sign-up to your billing cycle date.
Frequently used terms
- Total Monthly Charges: total cost for your plan, add-ons, insurance, 5G access and any once-off charges.
- Billing Cycle Date: the day that your price plan and allowances start .
- Bill Date: the day that your bill is generated.
- Direct Debit Date: 19 days after your bill date and when payment is due.
- Once-off Charges: phone charge, 3Pay, content subscription, non-direct debit fee.
