Updated 3Community Guidelines

As of January 2024, we have decided to update our 3Community Guidelines. This will ensure that your experience on 3Community remains both positive and informative!

If you are new here and would like some help, or just want an explanation on how to get the most out of 3Community, check out Getting Started on 3Community!

Our 3Community provides you with a place to discuss all things Three Ireland. We encourage you to get involved with your fellow 3Community members, and we look forward to reading your contributions to our forums! If you already have a suggestion to improve your Three experience, why not take a look at our Ideas Board?

Before you make your first post though, there are some ground rules that you will need to familiarise yourself with.

While we don’t want to censor any content on 3Community, Three Ireland reserves the right to remove any posts that don't adhere to our guidelines and revoke access from the 3Community to any users who violate them.

Rules

Below are our house rules – please read them before you make your first post! These rules extend to public and private posts, as well as your username and avatar. Please note that posts by other members of the 3Community do not reflect the opinions of Three Ireland and that your username will be recycled if unused for a long period of time. Also, any username that contains the word “Three” or the number 3 are reserved for Three employees and will be changed to a generic username if used by a non-Three employee.

  • Do not post personal information. Forum posts are visible to everyone, keep your information safe and never post it in public threads. This also includes personal information of third parties, as this would breach the privacy rights of such parties on the basis that their consent had not been obtained.
  • Do not make legal threats. 3Community is not the place for legal discussions, and any posts with legal threats in them will be removed.
  • Do not call out 3Community Moderators in thread titles. We understand that you want our attention but please have patience, we are only human!
  • Do not call for boycotts or misuse petitions. Inappropriate petitions and boycott discussions do not contribute to a useful and productive forum.
  • Do not be rude or inappropriate. No matter how you feel about a subject, or another forum user, it is not an excuse to be rude or use offensive language.
  • Do not talk about moderation. Our Moderators are here to keep the forum engaging and helpful for all. Discussing how we do things on the forum or the 3Community team’s methods of working is not appropriate. If you have any questions about your own moderation history though, please send a private message to a Moderator.
  • Do not impersonate anyone. This includes Three employees, other 3Community members, celebrities, etc.
  • Do not spam. That means you cannot post an unnecessarily large number of messages, or multiples of the same thing.
  • Do not curse or swear. This also includes using symbols or numbers to get around the swear filter. We still know what you’re trying to say!
  • Do not bully. Online bullying is against the rules. Bullying is a very efficient way to have your forum access permanently removed, and you will receive a warning from a Moderator if your behaviour on 3Community is alarming us. Bullying includes posting negative or otherwise harmful messages about another 3Community member.
  • Do not advertise.
  • Do not link to inappropriate sites. Links to other sites should be appropriate and on topic.

Zero Tolerance

These are some topics that we have zero tolerance for. That means if you post them, you could receive an immediate and permanent ban without warning.

  • Do not link to, discuss, or do anything illegal. This includes making defamatory remarks.
  • Do not troll. This includes deliberately trying to cause an argument by making sarcastic, off-topic, rude or disruptive posts, and discussions.
  • Do not discriminate. That means no sexism, racism, etc.
  • Do not post anything that links to or refers to adult material.
  • Do not post real-life threats.

Customer Service Queries

While we will pass your customer service enquiries on to the appropriate people, please bear the following in mind:

  • Normal working hours for 3Community Moderators are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
  • Outside these hours, check out How to contact Three in 3MadeEasy.
  • If your query relates to your Three account, we will need to confirm some account questions in Private Message (PM) due to the data protection regulations.
  • Please ensure to PM us directly with your name, number, address, and date of birth.

Guideline Updates

As the 3Community evolves and grows, the team may deem updates to these guidelines necessary to maintain an efficient and fun environment on 3Community. We will keep this page up to date as often as possible. All guidelines also apply in conjunction with the Three website's general terms, here.

Thanks,

Your 3Community Team
