We often receive queries about proof of purchase and VAT receipts from our 3Community members.

Please note that only Three employees can provide these documents, meaning that you will need to contact Three directly for proof of purchase and/or a VAT receipt.

There are a few ways to contact Three, and lucky for you, we have already written a blog about it.

Proof of Purchase

There are many reasons why you might need a Proof of Purchase, some of them being;

  • Insurance claims
  • Unlock codes
  • Repair under warranty
  • Manufacturer competitions
  • For your own personal records

No matter the reason why you need proof of purchase, we are here to help you! The information that is included in the proof of purchase is:

  • Your name, account number, and mobile number
  • Your email (optional)
  • Make and model of the phone/router
  • IMEI
  • Order date
  • Value of the phone/router
  • VAT amount
  • Account type and status

To request your proof of purchase, contact Three. Once we have requested the document on our side, it will take up to three to seven working days before you receive it by email.

VAT Receipts

If you require a phone/router receipt for VAT purposes, and as long as the phone/router was purchased by you from Three Ireland, then we will provide you with it. We will need the IMEI of the phone/router and the order number would be handy too!

Please note that VAT receipts exclude your mobile, account number, account type, and status.

Statement of Top Ups

We provide receipts for your online or banking top-up. Due to legislative changes, VAT is accounted for based on usage and not at the point of purchasing a top-up voucher. Therefore, no VAT can be detailed on this statement. If you need a statement of top-up, get in touch with our My3 In-App Messaging or our Web Messaging team.
