Preferred network selection

Samsung Galaxy S9 plus user. Phone was working fine with 4G connection, good speeds. As of yesterday issues with it all. Appears to default to 3G network, even when I go in and select 4G network manually it will always reset back to 3G. Got the sim replaced as advised today but issue is same. Any ideas or anyone with previous experience of same
