SMS Texts not being received by UK mobile phone number.

Hi,

As I am in Northern Ireland a fair bit I purchased a Three UK pay as you go SIM and put it in a spare unlocked phone that I had. I can ring the phone from my RoI phone and the call connects fine. However I sent a number of SMS texts to the UK number and none of them were received. The call I made and the texts sent are all logged in the 'view unbilled events' section of my online account.

Calls made and texts sent from the Three UK number are being received as normal by my RoI number.

All the above was done when my RoI number was on the Three Ireland network and the Three UK number was roaming here.

Puzzled as to why the Three UK number wasn't receiving SMS texts from my RoI number despite them being logged. Any ideas?

Hi @SeanMac thanks for sending me all the details. I have forwarded this to the technical team for investigation. These types of things usually take a week but I'll be keeping an eye on it and let you know as soon as I have an update.

Posted my query on the Three UK Community website. Despite a lengthy correspondence with them, they were immediately unable to resolve the issue and have issued me with a case number as they investigate further.
