Hi, some days my broadband speed can reach 30-40 Mbs but lately, it drops to 1-3Mbs. This morning the speed was terrible so I rebooted the router and it went back to 40Mbs for a few minutes but then dropped back again and now it's close to 0.
Can someone take a look at this please. Thanks.
Hi @alexmooz welcome to 3Community👋
Since posting here have you reached out to any of our other customer care platforms? If you still need help with this please let me know how long have you been having difficulties and does the speed vary throughout the day? Also, do you know the make and model of the device you are using?
Hi Stacey,
I haven't reached out to any other platforms. Surprisingly, since I posted this message, the speed has been OKish - 10-30 Mbs. I also put the new sim in today so we'll see how it goes. I'm using a Huawei b535 router.
Thanks!
@alexmooz if you don't see improvement with the new sim card over the next few days let me know and we'll investigate further 👍
Hi Stacey, the speed started declining today again; I will be taking measurements via the Ookla mobile app today and tomorrow and I will add them to the topic.
Hi Stacey,
Just a quick update here.
Last week I inserted a new sim and attached two external antennas to the router. Connection became more stable.
After that, I started taking speed tests in the Ookla IOs app. I have attached the results below.
Quick review - the speed tends to drop to low levels 2-3 times a day but usually is restored for some time after rebooting the router (see 22/02 19:52 - 19:55 and the like where there is a few minutes between the measurements taken).
Is there anything that can be done about it? Rebooting the router a few times a day is a bit inconvenient.
Thanks!
@alexmooz thanks for all the details 👍 the screens shots are great. As you've already replaced the sim we know that's not the issue. So next we'll need to check in with the technical team. Please PM me your name, number, date of birth and full address so I can pull your account and I'll forward the details to our tech team.
