Make Calls or Send Texts & MMS 


Make a call


  • Press the call button.
  • Type a phone number or contact name.
  • Press the call button again.

Send a text


  • Select the Messages icon.
  • Press the Blackberry button and select Compose Text Message.
  • In the To field enter a number or a contact name.
  • Type a message.
  • Press the Enter key.

To send a picture message press the Blackberry button and select Attach and then Picture before sending the message. 


Add my Email Settings


Contact the Forum for help with adding email to your phone.  


Pair a Bluetooth Device 


  • Switch the Bluetooth device on.
  • Press All.
  • Press Setup.
  • Press Bluetooth.
  • Switch Bluetooth on.
  • Press Add New Device.
  • Choose a Device Name and press OK.
  • Press Search to see all nearby Bluetooth devices.
  • Press the name of your device and enter the passkey, if required.
  • Press Yes. 

 Connect to a WiFi Hotspot 


  • Press Menu.
  • Press Manage Connections.
  • Press Setup Wi-Fi Networks.
  • Press Scan For Networks.
  • Press Turn Wi-Fi On.
  • Press the name of the network you want to connect to.
  • Enter the password if required.  

Unlock Phone

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.


  • Turn on your mobile phone.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Go to Advanced Options.
  • Go to Sim Card.
  • Type MEPD using your BlackBerry ® keyboard (You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing).
  • Type MEP2 (MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then 2) (You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing).
  • You will then be prompted to enter your unlock code.
  • Enter your code and then press trackball to confirm.
