Make Calls or Send Texts & MMS 

 

Make a call

 

  • Press the call button.
  • Dial the number.
  • Press the call button again.

To call a contact select Contacts and select the contact you want to call. Highlight the number you want to call and press the centre button.

 

Send texts or pictures messages

 

  • Select Text Messages.
  • Press the BlackBerry® button and select Compose.
  • Enter the contact details of the person you want to text.
  • Write your text and select Send.
If you want to send a picture message follow this process but press the BlackBerry® button and select Picture to select the picture you want to attach.

Unable To Access The Internet

 

Make sure GPRS or EDGE is in capital letters at the top of the screen. If not, remove the battery from the phone for 30 seconds. Replace the battery and restart the phone.

If GPRS or EDGE are still in lower case register on the network:

  • Go to Options. On some phone Options is found under Settings.
  • Select Advanced Options.
  • Select Host Routing Table.
  • Press the Menu button and select Register Now.

If there is still no Internet access try your SIM in another phone.

 

If you can access Internet in another phone contact the Three Forum for help.

 

If you can't access the Internet with your SIM in another phone try getting a free SIM replacement from any Three Store.   

 

Pair a Bluetooth Device 

 

  • Switch the Bluetooth device on.
  • Press the BlackBerry® button. 
  • Select Manage Connections.
  • Select Setup Bluetooth.
  • Select Search.
  • Select the device you want to connect to and enter the passkey, if required.
  • Select Yes.

 Connect to a WiFi Hotspot 

 

  • Press the BlackBerry® button.
  • Select Manage Connections.
  • Select Wi-Fi and check the box to turn it on.
  • Select Setup Wi-Fi Networks.
  • Select Next.
  • Select Scan For Networks.
  • Select the name of the network you want to connect to.
  • Enter the password if required. 

If you get an error message make sure you have entered the password correctly.

You should also check that the network is open to public use.

 

Unlock Phone

 

Click here to request the unlock code.

 

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.

 

  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Options.
  • Select Device.
  • Select Advanced System Settings.
  • Select Sim Card.
  • Type MEPD using your Blackberry keyboard. You will not see any text appear on the screen.
  • Hold down the ALT key and type MEPE on your Blackberry keyboard. You will not see any text appear on the screen.
  • You will be prompted to enter the Network Unlock Code.
  • Enter the code and press Enter.

Turn the phone on and off to complete the unlock process.
