Make Calls or Send Texts & MMS 

 

Making a Call

 

  • Tap Phone.
  • Dial the number you want to call.
  • Tap Call.

You can also call a contact that opening the People app and selecting the contact.

 

Send a text or a picture messages

 

  • Tap Messages.
  • Tap the + icon to compose a message.
  • Enter the contact details of the person you want to text.
  • Write your message and tap the Send icon.

If you want to send a picture message follow this process but tap the attachment button to select the picture you want to attach before sending your message. 

 

Add my Email Settings

 

  • Open Mail.
  • Tap the Menu icon and select Add account.
  • Select your email provider.
  • Enter your email address and password.
  • Tap Next.
  • Your phone will automatically detect your email settings.
  • Enter a name for the account.
  • Tap Finish

If you get an error message make sure you have entered your email address and password correctly.

 

If you're still getting an error you can try adding your email manually: 

 

  • Tap Mail.
  • Tap Menu and then More.
  • Tap New Account.
  • Tap Other (POP3/IMAP).
  • Enter your email address and password. Tap Next.
  • Select POP from the Protocol dropdown.
  • Enter your email username.
  • Enter the Incoming email below POP server. This is the Incoming Mail Server for your email provider. 
  • Select None from Security type.
  • Enter 110 below Port.
  • Untick Login required.
  • Enter the Outgoing mail server below SMTP server. This is the Outgoing Mail Server for your Internet provider.
  • Select None from Security type.
  • Enter 25 below Port.
  • Enter a name for the account and then your own name.
  • Tap Finish

Add my Internet Settings 

 

If you're having issues accessing the Internet it's good to check that your settings are correct. 

 

These are found under:

 

  • Settings
  • Mobile data
  • Access point names

Tap an active Access Point Name (APN) or tap Menu and then New APN to add an APN from scratch.

 

 

Pair a Bluetooth Device 

 

  • Turn Bluetooth device on.
  • Tap Options.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Wireless & Network.
  • Tap Bluetooth Settings.
  • Tap Bluetooth to turn it on.
  • The phone will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Tap the one you want to connect to.
  • Tap Accept. 

Connect to a WiFi Hotspot 

 

  • Tap Settings.
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is switched to On.
  • Tap Wi-Fi.
  • The phone will search for available networks.
  • Tap the network you want to connect to.
  • You may be asked to enter a password which you can get from the WiFi provider.

If you get an error message make sure you have entered the password correctly.

You should also check that the network is open to public use.  

 

Unlock Phone 

 

Click here to request the unlock code.

 

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.

 

  • Enter a SIM card from another network in to the phone.
  • Enter the PIN for the SIM Card if you are asked.
  • You will be prompted to enter the unlock code.
  • Enter the unlock code and restart the phone to complete the unlock process.
