Did you know that you can personalise and customise your 3Community experience? Most members like to change their profile picture, set their default language and time zone, and manage subscriptions and notifications. You can manage these settings and more from your 'My settings' page.
To access and change your personal settings, follow these steps:
Settings are grouped into the following categories:
Personal
Personal settings are where you can manage your email, personal information, IM screen name, and close account.
Note: Your email was set when you created your account.
By default, the email associated with your account is the email that you used to create your account.
To change your email address or related settings:
Email verification status shows as “Verified” for the email address provided at the creation of the account. If you change your email address, you will need to verify it again.
Personal Information
You can enter all of your personal information including those available on the internet such as websites, blogs, and so on.
Enter the following basic information about yourself, or modify as required:
Along with all of the information that you can update, there are two system-generated fields:
At the bottom of this page, you can see two items below Downloads that have your information or content on the 3Community. You can download these at any time:
Social
Social enables you to link your 3Community profile to your Twitter account. You can tweet about the great content that you find in the 3Community and reply to tweets without switching to Twitter.
Preferences
You can customise these general settings:
Avatar
An avatar is another term for a profile picture. There are pre-made 3Community avatars available for you to use.
You can also select your own image using the From my Albums option that contains all your approved images. If you have uploaded a new image to use as your Avatar, you will need to wait until the moderator approves the image.
Tagging
You can select tagging options such as 'Turn on tagging', 'Show tags in post', and 'Show tag counts'. There are various options available for tagging that you can set. You can also select one of the options available for 'Display criteria' for tags and 'Show tags' in the tag cloud based on age.
Subscription and notification
You can set your preferences for 'My subscriptions', 'My bookmarks', 'Search subscriptions', 'Notification settings', and 'Email format'.
