Am I good to buy a new phone via Amazon?

Hi guys hope ye are well, 

Am I good to buy a new phone via Amazon and switch my pre-pay plan to this new phone (i.e., the top up by 20 EUR a month plan). 

I've checked the phone on Amazon that I have my eye on and it's the same nano-type SIM card, so I should be good to go right?

Just want to double check that there no issues re: Three if I were to do this.

Edit: Just to clarify, the phone on Amazon I'd be buying would be SIM-less of course, since I plan on using the SIM in my current phone.

Hi there @LemonZest_87334 👋 New phones are always exciting 😊 The only thing you need to watch out for is that the phone is sim free or unlocked, which means the phone can be used by any network. This is usually called out in the name of the product or in the description section. I hope I've answered your questions, if there's anything else let me know 👌

Yep it's a new phone and it's SIM free + unlocked, going to pop my current SIM in the new phone when it arrives this weekend. 

I was just wondering as an extra question if you don't mind, on my MyThree dashboard it lists my device as my old device at the moment of course, but when I get my new phone and pop the same SIM in will it just recognise the new device and be updated on the dashboard eventually? Or do I have to do any other steps - I wouldn't have to 'unlock' the old phone or anything first would I? Not actually sure if the old phone is locked to Three or unlocked.

Edit: sorry, just one last question! I recently topped up by 20 EUR on my current phone, when I get the new phone and pop that SIM in I'll still have X many days left of my month plan carried over to the new phone right? Sorry if that's a silly question, just wanted to make sure!

Hi @LemonZest_87334 there are no silly questions 😊 The new phone will not update on your My3 dashboard, as only devices purchased from Three are displayed. But not to worry this doesn't have any effect on your services. You're 100% correct, popping your sim into the new phone will not alter your plan, you'll have the exact same number of days remaining.
