Hi there,
I got a new SIM earlier in the year as I was changing plans, and ported my old number to it. It was all all working fine, but I have since realised that the SIM has still has the old Three number recorded on it. The problem comes when some apps try and read your phone number off the SIM in order to send verification codes and send the codes to the wrong number.
Is it possible to have the phone number recorded on the SIM changed to the correct number?
Thanks,
R
Hi @RunDMC, the number on the sim card would have changed as soon as your number port completed. Did you use the sim before the port was complete by any chance? Once the port was completed did you have to change the number in your phone settings?
To be honest, Stacey, I don't remember if I put the SIM in before the port was completed, but I don't remember having any problems. I did not have to make any changes to the settings on the phone. The number on the SIM appears to be the original number it came with, before my number was ported.

Thanks, @RunDMC please let me know what make and model your phone is and which apps are affected so I can investigate this further for you.
The phone is a Google Pixel 7 Pro and the app I have the problem with is Revolut.
Thanks,
R
Perfect @RunDMC I have seen something similar to this before which was resolved by the Revolut team updating the contact number on their side. If Revolut is the only app you're having issues with I would suggest reaching out to them through your app.
If your number is not registering on more than one app PM me and I'll investigate on our side. Please include your name, number, full address, and date of birth 😊
