synching webtext contacts TO phone

Hi, can anyone tell me how to synch my wetext contacts over to my phone, as opposed to the other way around? I've lost all my contacts off my phone for some reason, afraid I'll wipe them from my webtext, and need to synch from my computer to phone. Many thanks.

In webtext on o2.ie click "contacts and groups" and then select all the contacts and in excel click paste special and paste as text. The same works if I click "more actions" "Print (overview)" and then click paste special in excel and click paste text.
I'm using office 2010 but I can confirm it works in excel 2007. From there you can organise the phone number column by right clicking on the column and clicking format cells. Choose number from the category under the number tab and choose 0 decimal places. Then you should be able to see the list of names and numbers. Save the file as tab delimited (text) or comma delimited (csv) format and it should be importable into most software programs.

Hi I dropped my phone in water. Phone damaged and all contacts were saved to phone not simcard. Any ideas? In meantime I tried to synch phone contacts from computer but not given option to put Nokia Lumia 635. Any advice would be great as I have hundreds of contacts and not all of these are on computer.

Hey Mike,

I'm sorry to hear about your phone. I've checked with some colleagues here and we can't think of any way to get them off your phone if it's damaged.

Will it even turn on?

No Michelle I have rice all round it in hope it will dry out but guy in 3 shop said screen not worth replacing . I tried to synch but no option for nokia 635. Any ideas?

Hiya, if there's no option there for that model I'm afraid you'll need to export them from webtext and then load this file to a different phone.

Cheers Fiona. What is best way to do this? Mike

The best way to export the contacts is to Excel - if you look at Daryl's post above you'll find the steps for this. You should then be able to import the file to your phones software application on your PC and then sync this back to your phone.
