Not receiving text messages

I recently switched to 3 and I am not getting text messages from certain numbers. I am getting some messages but not others. It looks like I can send them alright.

I have tried cleaning and resetting the SIM card but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference.

Can anyone help?

@Mark_02130 Hi there. Let's take a look at this for you. Tell me, is there any particular pattern in the messages that you're receiving and the ones you aren't? From any particular network or country for example? Also, what's the make and model of your phone? The more info I have the better 👍

Hi Laura,

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 15.2.

I can’t identify any pattern in which messages I receive and which I don’t.

I am getting them from Three, from city bin company, from An Post and from Free Now. I am getting them from one friend on Vodafone Ireland but not from my wife, who’s also with Vodafone Ireland. I’m not getting them from Amazon or from AIB.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Hi Laura,

Just jumping onto this thread. I have the same issue but it's nothing to do with my iMessage. I am not receving texts with "One Time Passwords" from some companies (mainly financial institutions). I am receiving other OTPs but not from banks... Any ideas?

I'd love to look into this for you but I'll need a little more info. Have you ever been able to receive OTP from these companies before? If you did previously receive them has anything changed? Like your phone, your number the sim card? How long has this been happening?

I have samiler issue,  i dont get text massages from certian companies like revolute, AIB, Recently i treid to move my number from Three to vergin Media but still i cant get text massage to even move my number. Its so horrible, I tried to call customer service they cant help as well, I tired every way possible. 

I have an iphone XE 2022 but i treid my sim in Iphone 14pro max still it didn't work. 

Can you please help i just want to leave three network.

The first thing I'll need to do is review your account, so please pop me a PM with your full name, address, date of birth and mobile number. Also, please let me know the time and date of the last time you tried to get a verification code and from which company. If it was more that 48 hours ago please try again as recent attempts will help with the investigation.
