Planning a trip abroad and want to stay connected on your phone? Data is used for much on our phones to get an idea of your data usage click here. Belows a simple guide to help you understand how roaming works and how to avoid unexpected charges.
Roaming in the EU
Three’s Bill Pay plans include an EU data allowance. For example, our current Bill Pay plans offer between 67GB and 80GB of data. Want to know more about our EU roaming allowances click here.
To check your allowance, log into your My3 account. You’ll find your roaming data listed alongside your other plan details.
Roaming Outside the EU
Using data in non-EU countries may incur additional charges. You can view the rates by selecting your plan here, and you’ll also find our roaming add-on,s which may help you to manage costs.
Stay in Control with Data Roaming Caps
To help manage your spending, Three offers Data Roaming Caps for all customers. These caps limit how much you can spend on data while abroad. For more information on Data Roaming Caps click on the below link.

If you’ve had a data roaming cap and removed it, it can easily be re-added. To get started, simply text "GETCAP" to 50232. For more information, click the link above.
Roaming at Sea or In the Air
If you're on a cruise or a flight, you'll be connected to a Satellite Network. These networks are not covered by EU roaming regulations, even if you're within EU territory. Please be aware that connecting to a Satellite Network is expensive, and if you do not wish to incur these charges, make sure that your mobile data is switched off when travelling by sea or air.

What Roaming Charges Will Look Like On Your Bill
If you have incurred roaming charges, they will be presented on your bill in your Bill Breakdown on Page two under the Out of allowances summary.
