I have just spent the whole night trying to speed up my 5g home broadband with tech support on chat, in the end he told me to bring the router into a shop, is this really the answer? can they do anything? the speeds are unacceptably slow in the evenings i get it that the speeds advertised are maximum attainable speeds but the current speeds I'm getting are shocking compared to what i was getting up until relatively recently, the upload speeds are nearly twice the download speeds which is ridiculous, it cant be down to purely congestion and if it is that's a shocking service to provide, i have 18 months left on a 2 year contract and this isn't really on.
so the big question is should i bother bringing the modem into a shop? and if this is just par for the course can anyone advise how i can get out of this ridiculous contract especially as the service has deteriorated so much
