EXTERNAL ZTE MC7010 TO INTERNAL ZTE T3000 + TL-PA717 KIT

Can I plug the LAN cable from the external ZTE MC7010 into the transmitter unit of a TL-PA717 - AV1000 Gigabit Kit and take the signal to the ZTE T3000 Internal router via a second LAN cable from the AV1000 receiver?

@DEEMDE, I've got an update, we can't be 100% sure that this will work as there is a 3rd party router involved but technically this can be done you'll need to set the outdoor unit into bridge mode, unfortunately, this isn't something that Three support but you can get the instructions from the manual for the router online on how to set to bridge mode.

If you decide to go ahead, please let us know how you get on 👍

Now, @DEEMDE that is a question, I had to read it 3 times to make sure I was following it correctly 😊 I'm going to reach out to our 5G broadband team on this. As soon as I have an update on this I'll post it here.

Thanks Stacey. The system has not, as yet, been installed. A technician did arrive to do so but, as Three had not supplied a 5G sim, he was unable to do so.

If I do not get a definitive answer on here I may take a chance and purchase the TL-PA717 - AV1000 Gigabit Kit.I shall report results on here.

Thanks once again Stacey.

First I need to have the system installed, so I shall contact Three regarding a SIM card and thence installation.

Help. There is a problem!

The installation technician, Edward, said that the existing 4G sim was unsuitable for 5G.

So, this morning my wife visited the Sligo Three shop for a 5G sim only to be told to use the existing 4G sim.

As I understand, using a 4G sim will result in 4G speeds not 5G.

I have tried using the support chat line on the Three website but the system repeatedly refuses to answer.

Sorted.

Eventually support chat answered and a grand lad named Zain sorted a new 5G SIM to be delivered.

Well Folks.

I have, at last, managed to move the ZTE 3000 router across the room using a tp-link AV600 Powerline starter kit. The input from the ZTE MC 7010 receiver plugs into one of the AV600 adaptors,. and the router into the second one.

Results: A strong single to the utility room at the back of the house. Previously I had to utilise my iPhone Hotspot.
