Travelling in Italy preferred network

I have a Google Pixel 6 with 3 prepay. When I travel to Italy it never picks up any network automatically, I have to manually chose a network. Is this expected?

Also, is there a specific Italian provider I should chose? (Tim,wind,3, Vodafone...)

@Francisco While in Italy you can connect to any available network. Please keep in mind their coverage may vary depending on your location, so I would suggest if you have difficulties with coverage switch to any of the other networks listed when you search manually. It may take a few tries to find the best network for the area you are in, but if you have any difficulties connecting to a network let me know.

Hi @Francisco, you are correct the phone should automatically select the network unless the network selection setting is set to manual. While roaming in Europe you have the ability to select and connect to any available network.  Are you having difficulty connecting?

If I leave it in automatic it will not connect to any network, I have too manually chose WINDTRE to connect. Thanks. It might be something with the phone as my partners Samsung connects fine in automatic mode.

In any case, is WINDTRE the correct "partner" in Italy?

Hi again.

I just had the same issue in Spain, for some reason my pixel does not pick up automatically a network and I have to manually select one.

Is there a specific one I have to chose:vodafone, movistar, yoigo, orange...

Hi @Francisco I hope you are enjoying Spain. In Spain, you can use any of the available networks. As I have said previously coverage may vary from network to network. So you may need to try more than one.
