Hi,
Back in October 2023, I noted in this post that sending a Webtext fails if you enter more than 640 characters. This is despite the form saying it allows 765 characters. The server simply returns a HTTP 500 error.
As of February 2024, it's still broken. Any chance of getting it fixed?
As a side note, Webtext on Three is getting worse and worse over the years, since the takeover from O2:
I appreciate that all the cool kids use WhatsApp for texts these days, but please do spare a thought for non-cool, older users.
Thanks.
Hi @PGargan I remember testing this but the last time I did the character allowance showed 640.
I've sent a few webtexts from my own account and can 640 but this changes once I start typing my message. I've returned to the team with screenshots of this and'll keep you updated.
@PGargan I just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten about this. I've just check in with the technical team and they're currently looking into this for us. As soon as there is any news I'll let you know.
Hi @Three_Stacey ,
Any updates here? The Webtext form still accepts 765 characters, but entering more than 640 still causes a HTTP 500 and the text is never delivered.
Hi @PGargan I've just checked up on the investigation, and I can see that they are still working on it. I've reached out and requested the latest update. Once I get confirmation of a resolution I'll let you know.
