What is a Voice Firewall?
This is a system that will be integrated directly into the Three network that identifies and blocks suspicious calls in real time.
How does this work?
- Calls that are deemed high risk (spoofed numbers or invalid numbers) will automatically be blocked
- Calls that are deemed medium risk (known companies or organisations) will come through to your phone, but the caller ID will be altered to warn you that it may be a scam call. The caller ID will be displayed as Possible Scam.
- This will help to protect Three’s customers by stopping scam calls while allowing genuine and legitimate calls to be received as normal.

What do you need to know?
From the ….. all calls being made to Three customers will be evaluated in real time.
High Risk calls will be blocked – meaning you will not receive them, removing you from any danger of fraud.
Medium Risk calls will have the caller ID altered – it will display ‘Possible Scam’ on the customer’s phone to remind users to keep their personal details safe.
Standard Calls such as calls from family and friends, will continue to flow through as normal.
