Getting Started on 3Community

Hi there and welcome to our 3Community.

 

If you're new to these parts, I've put together this handy guide on how to get started. Don't forget to Register/Sign in (with your My3 details) so you can join the conversations in our discussion boards.

Searching
Search is the quickest way to locate the information you’re after. Use the pink search box under the Welcome announcement or the search box at the top in My Account Phones 3MadeEasy Newsfeed and Hub. If you don’t find what you’re after you can always post your own question.

Browsing
Prefer to jump straight into the community? Click the board tabs at the top of the screen, here you’ll find the entire community at your fingertips.

Register
Had a peek around the 3Community already? If so you’ll no doubt want to join us, just hit Sign in button at the top right and log in to My3 to link your community account. You can download the updated My3 app for free from the App Store or the Google Play Store. 

Complete your Profile
To fully use 3Community you’ll need to verify your email address. Check your spam or junk folder if you haven’t received the verification email after 1 hour.

Choosing a profile pic
Choose your profile pic or avatar to show off your personality. You can change this as often as you like!

Posting / Commenting
All our discussion boards are open for you to ask questions, share your thoughts, and help others. My AccountPhonesLiving RoomSuggestions and Competitions.
Once you’ve found a discussion board you’re interested in, just hit the  ‘Start A Topic’ button to start a conversation with 3Community. For example, if you want to start a topic on an account related query and you're a Prepay customer you can select "My Account" and then "Prepay" you'll then notice the "Start a Topic" button at the top in mobile view and on the top right-hand corner of the page in desktop view. Or if you have anything you’d like to add to an existing conversation, simply click the ‘Reply’ button under each post to add your thoughts.

Tagging

3Community Members and 3Moderators if you want to send a notification to another community member you can tag them on your topic or on your reply to a topic. This goes for Three Moderators as well!

Our mods are @Three_Laur  @Three_Susan @Three_Shauna @Three_Shane1 and for me it's @Three_Deborah

 

Did you know that you can tag other discussion boards instead of including a link? Simply use @ and the title of the board, for example,  @ followed by "Change address not working" shows this 👉 Change address not working. You can also tag helpful content in your posts, such as 3MadeEasy and Newsfeed articles. @ followed by "Tip of the week; self-serve options" looks like this 👉Tip of the week: self-serve options 

 

Finding your posts
You’ll be able to find all your questions and comments on your profile page, and it is here that other members can also see information about you such as your posts, likes and solutions. Just click on your profile pic near the top of the page.

 

Accepting Solutions
If you started your own topic and your question has been answered, you can accept that answer as the solution. This helps others find answers to questions they have, and it also gives the person who answered your question a little boost in their ranking.

 

Liking

You can like any of the posts or blogs around the community by any of our members. It’s like a virtual high five for something you agree with or a way to say thanks for the help you’ve received!


Private Messages
If a member of staff has asked you to send them a PM A.K.A Private Message, you can find the link to do this in their signature. You can also go to your inbox by clicking the Private Messages icon at the top of the page, where you can see received and sent messages, and compose a new message.

You won't be able to send a private message until you have posted at least once on the community.
