Call spoofing

Hi, I have been getting people phoning me adamant that I rang them. I did not and the only possible explanation is that someone is spoofing my number.

I had one today and they said I had rung them but I have made no outbound calls according to my phone.

Your right this defiantly sounds like call spoofing. These calls originate from international locations. The incoming number is randomly generated and masked to look like a genuine number. 

Generally, this doesn't mean that your phone has been compromised but if you are worried, I suggest you contact your local Gardai.

My phone isn't compromised according to anti virus etc. It is just a pain and people don't want to believe you when you say you never called them.

I can totally agree with you on that. I experienced this myself last November and it lasted about a week. It was very frustrating.
