I recently switched from Vodafone to 3. I face the same issue here as well. Hotspot is not working. I know it is not a phone problem as it has worked with verizon in US and Vodafone sim in India.

As Hotspot is a device feature and isn't a service we provide unfortunately this isn't something that I would be able to resolve at an account level. If you were using different networks in the phones previously I would recommend resetting your APN under the Mobile Networks settings in your phone to refresh your network connection and then you can retest the hotspot however if this fails I would recommend contacting Samsung directly.
Did you get the hotspot working in the end ?
No mate, I did not. It is not a device problem as 3 suggests and none of the solutions to edit the APN settings worked for me. I tried it with a difference phone that can take an e-sim and it still didnt work. I have given up. sticking to my clearmobile sim and 4g which works like a charm.
hmm sounds like an issue with the 3 plan that you were on.
