Why a faulty phone as pixel 8 with all the bugs, hardware /screen issues, battery drain, lags and so on was not recolled and binned

Brought back last Friday to Grafton shop for repair. Probably I'll get a refurbished one. Not happy with brand and phone anyway. I'll probably sell the phones one I'll get it back to purchase a different brand

Just got a sms saying that the repair shop just got my phone... 11 days ago I brought it to the shop in Grafton and only today arrived for repair. Really

I'm not in a rush since from today I'm in Spain for a week but still are 12 working days since I brought that piece of junk to repair and yet no info about a day for collection
