Email Server Addresses

Please I have no problemm receiving emails from my eircom.net address but cannot send using iPhone 4s.  I hve tried the following as outgoing mail servers and none work.

smtp.O2.ie;

mail1.eircom.net; 

mail-relay.3ireland.ie

Any suggestions??, thanks

Ok Lisa, did the following:

Deleted all outgoing server info

Turned phone off for a few mins and back on again

Entered 'webmail.eircom.net' as outgoing server

Message:  'Cannot Connect Using SSL- do you wish to try setting up the account without SSL'  selected 'Yes'-got the following message: 'the SMTP server "webmail.eircom.net"is not responding....etc.'

 So added 'smtp.o2.ie' as ougoing server....exactly the same again....

saved both as outgoing servers anyway

Turned phone off again for a few mins and back on

...still no luck...

Is it just the eircom email you are having issues with or can you test another email e.g. Gmail or Yahoo?

What phone are you using? There should be no reason it won't work with those outgoing servers.

can you confirm that the outgoing on the gmail email is also the: smtp.o2.ie as you have advised previously that the gmail is working fine.

Hi Kate,

G mail is using 'Gmail SMTP Server' as outgoing server.

Liam
