Not getting texts or emails since merger with O2

Since 3 merged with O2, I am having continuous issues. Randomly I don't receive texts, or receive a whole load of them at once late in the evening which people had sent during the day. The same applies to my emails - I'm not getting random emails on 3G, it's only when I hit a wifi spot that I get the emails I had missed. Thirdly the 3G signal seems to have gotten far weaker - I'm unable to access apps; search the Internet or even send emails most of the time. What's going on?

Hi SM3,

It sounds like a sim or phone issue.

Have you tested another sim in your phone? I can post you out a new sim or you can pop into your local Three Store to get one free of charge.

Thanks. I haven't tried the sim but I have restarted my phone a number of times.

Important to note also that everyone I know who were with O2 are experiencing exactly the same issues.

Which would lead me to doubt it's an issue with my phone or sim.

Hi, we can have this looked into further with our tech team. We'd usually first try to eliminate any sim or phone faults. Do you have access to try your sim in a different phone?

Happy to try it in my wife's phone tonight after work.

However, the problems I am having are intermittent and seems to work fine in the evening times as that's when I get a whole load of info sent to me during the day.

Sim also woukdnt explain why 7 other former O2 customers I know have had the exact same issues for the exact same time as me.

I can understand that but we need to do this troubleshooting before we can log it for investigation with our tech team.

If you can come back to me when you have tried the SIM in your wife's phone and let me know how it goes, we can investigate from there.
