Well that didnt take long! Price of Calls and Texts have gone up. While service has gone down
Thanks Michele for clearing that up.However penalising poor folk who can't afford 20 euro a month seems mean.
I will also not agree with this, especially seen the mobile broadband speed decrease of 97% on average.
I can only advise everybody to change provider as Ireland is already one of the most expensive countries for mobile plans and three has made an big mistake.
Sadly it isn't, before the switch I had reasonable average of 8Mbps, since the change my 4G device has an maximum speed of 300Kbps! and when I say max, I mean that on my commute to work that this is for 10 of the 60 minutes, the remaining 50 minutes it is between 3 and 15Kbps!!!
(I tryed to download an 90mb mp3 this morning, as streaming didn't work and have been literally been staring at the download speed for an hour)
I also tested this with an mobile network monitoring.mapping app and this confirmed that there is good to perfect coverage most of the time but their nodes are just misconfigured or extremly throttled....
[EDIT; I am an android developer and use every week different roms, so I am sure this is not app/OS related]
Hi Michelle,
Can you explan why the mobile internet coverage has been so poor since the change over? I'm constantly getting web pages saying i'm offline but ihave mobile internet coverage?
Even on certain apps i am unable to post or upload images but never had this issue with O2, and i have uninstalled the apps and reinstalled and still the same problem.
