Does Three offer eSIM?

My new iPhone 14 does not support SIM cards (it does not have a slot for any type of SIM) so how will I use this iPhone with THREE? Can THREE send me a code for eSIM?

@PB22 Hi there & welcome to the 3Community. Currently, Three doesn't offer eSIM service so you'll be unable to use your iPhone 14 if it doesn't have a dedicated SIM card slot. The iPhone 14 is still in pre-order currently, have you pre-ordered it from Three or another network?

Thanks Shane, I'm in USA  I pick up new iPhone 14 on Friday. I am going home to Ireland on holidays and I usually top up and switch out the sim card but now I guess I wont be able to do so... How will Three people use the iPhone 14 as there's no sim card slot?

@PB22 Apple announced that only iPhone 14s bought in the USA would have eSIM capability & the SIM tray removed while all other countries will still have SIM trays.

ohh interesting ...I hadn't heard that. I guess I will have to carry 2 phones or go to another Irish carrier I think Vodafone has started using eSIM....???

(so really its untrue because the whole idea is that eSIM is cardless)

Who offers eSIM in Ireland?

Three (3) Ireland, Vodafone Ireland & eir are the only Irish mobile operators offering eSIMs to prepaid customers. Aug 16, 2022

I can assure you that we don't offer eSIM service yet. It's currently in the works and we're expecting to launch the service in 2023.
