I have moved to live in Australia for 2 years. I spoke to a Rep of Three in Ireland before I moved here in Oct 2023 and asked if i could get out of my Plan / Account and go on to Prepay or pay as you go type plan. I was told that I could make this change only when my existing contract, at that time, ended. I believe that that contract is complete so would now look to change .
I wish to continue with Three and to continue to use my existing number - 08xxxxxxx into the fututre. However I really only need a basic package and a contract I can stop at any time. I am happy to continue with Three, but you can appeciate that as I now live in Austrsalia, and have a new phone and provider here, my use of my Irish Phone is less important on a day to day basis.
Please advice on my best options going forward

I have edited your message to hide your number to make sure that it is not available to be viewed publically. If you are out of contract and you are looking to switch to a Prepay plan I would recommend contacting our web chat team here who can help get this sorted for you.
If you are going down the prepay route I would recommend putting a reminder in your phone to make a chargeable call or text every 6 months to make sure the number remains active while you are in Australia unless you are using the number from time to time while abroad.
