Do not receive text messages from banks and Apple and others

We have just ported phones across and now cannot receive verification texts from AIB , Fire bank etc.


How do I get this resolved ?

@Niall_09257 Hi there, welcome to 3Community 👋 Sometimes when you port in your temporary number can stick so here's something to check:

 

Go to Settings

Select Phone

Select My Number

Delete the old number

Enter your number

Save

Restart your phone

 

Try it out and let me know how it goes 😊

it appears there was a wider issue with all numbers porting in last week. The tech team resolved it

I'm now experiencing the same issue on a Google Pixel 6. Any idea if it's a phone setting or a porting issue?

@Ken_08856 Hi Ken, welcome to 3Community 👋 What verification texts are you having trouble receiving? Have you checked your phone settings as Laura suggested above to make sure your phone has your ported number listed not your temporary 083 number? If your porting number is showing correctly when you get the chance, send me a PM with your full name, number, address and date of birth. With that info, I'll be able to look into this further for you.

This is a porting issue. I had to ring helpdesk to raise a ticket. The issue was then resolved a day later. Thank you.

I’m currently having the same issue as I’ve just ported over , I’ve tried restarting my phone as the above said, can anybody help?

Hi there @Josh_88796 and welcome to 3Community. Are you still experiencing difficulties receiving verification messages?

 

If you are please PM me with the below details;

 

Name, number, address and date of birth,

Make and model of your phone,

Name of the app you're trying to use

Time and date of the last time you requested a verification password. If this was more than 2 hours ago please try again.

 

Once I have your details, I'll review your account and, if needed, I'll forward them to the technical team for investigation.
