I had a SIM when I lived in Ireland a couple years ago, but now I'm back in my home country so I haven't used it for a while (3+ years). The problem is that I want to close an Irish bank account and I can't access it without a code from an SMS. I tried and surprisingly still received the SMS, but just saying "There was a problem with your number".
I want to know if I need to reactivate my number and if I do, how to do it from my country.

@barb_isa Hi and welcome to 3Community. I'll do my best to help you with this one, but have to say there is something at the back of my mind that is telling me that bank codes do go internationally! I'd like to check your SIM too
So when your rank changes to Lookout or Scout can you send a PM with your full name, number, address and date of birth?

Thank you for replying. Yes, I did receive the SMS from the bank with the text: "We've experienced a problem with your mobile number", so I think I just need to reactivate it again.
Also, how can I change my rank?

Hi, I am in a similar position. I have not used my phone for 2+ years and would like to reactivate the old sim which I still have so I can have my old phone number. Can you help me?
@Eoin_07992 Hi Eoin & welcome to the 3Community 😊 If you haven't used your number in the last 2+ years then you'll need to get a new SIM card from your local Three store. I'll need to check on the number here first also for you to ensure that the number is still active. Can I get you to PM me your full name, number, address, & date of birth for the validation of your account?

I have the same iusse. I was away for 4 years and I lost my phone with my number and now I want back my number all my accounts linked to this number. Can I get it back ? Please help me.

If the number hasn't been used in the 4 years there is a possibility that the number is now dormant however I'd be happy to look into this further for you, pop through to me here on PM along with your full name, mobile number, address and date of birth and I can check this here for you.
