Unable to receive verification code texts

Hi,

I recently ported my number from eir to 3 and I’ve had trouble receiving verification code texts from websites such as boots, mygov, PayPal.I need these codes in order to log in but I am not receiving them. Does 3 block these verification code texts as they think they’re spam?

Hi - was this problem ever fixed for you? 

I’m experiencing the same issue here for the last 4 days, and customer care have told me that it’ll be another 3/4 days before their engineering team have an answer. 

I’ve been with 3 for over 9 years and will be cancelling today - the customer care rep did say this was affecting a number of customers, but no idea on whether it’ll be fixed. 

Have you tried

 

Perform the action you need to get the text

Get no text (yayyyy)

text BLOCK IT STOP to 50216

You will get a message saying the the service is not active

Go back to the service that needs to send you the text and retry

Receive text ..?

I find this works for me when I have this problem. But yeah, im leaving as well soon.

I did try that but it didn’t work. Thankfully the problem has been fixed for me.
I kept emailing and txting people, hounded them.
I hope u get sorted.

I've been with Three for over a decade and never had this issue until today! Setting up a new phone and can't access any of my banking apps because I'm not getting the SMS codes... The agent on Live Chat made out it was a problem they knew about but clearly it's been going on for months?! Think I'll definitely be changing providers asap.

@Add_81509, @Alex96 & @Aisling_53865 Our technical team is working to resolve this as soon as possible. They have already made changes recently which have allowed some of our affected customers to now receive the verification SMS. We're working closely to fix this for the remaining customers. I understand the frustration and as soon as I have a further update I'll pop back here to you.

I’ve just changed over to three yesterday and having this problem. I can’t access any of my bank apps or various other apps too. I’ve contacted the chat support to be told that they are working on it but clearly this is a problem long before yesterday. very frustrating and regret changing over. Anyone have any luck fixing this problem? 

I had similar prob, it did get sorted. No use to you at the moment, but at least it gives you some hope it does get fixed.

I can understand your frustration of not being able to access your apps. A resolution is being worked on and as soon as I get an update I'll post it here for you.
