Smartwatch Mobile Connection Support

Hi, with the recent launch of eSim, it would be great to have Apple/Android smartwatch mobile connection support.

In all seriousness though, could we get a proper update @Three_Stacey We were promised the first quarter of 2024 and it is now the middle of August. Even if you say it won't be this year. At least we can either stop checking or decide to move on to Vodafone.

Hi everyone, I understand you are all eager to get going with Three Wearable eSIMs, however, this is something that requires a large amount of work behind the scenes. I'll comment on this thread with an update as soon as I can provide some specific launch details. Thanks for your continued patience.

Have 10 months left on a 24 month contract, just started a new 24 contract with vodafone and set up with eSim on Galaxy watch. Will pay out my 3 contract begridginly. Had no issues with 3 and would have stayed but you can't be this far behind the competition and keep customers.

Our business contract is up at the start of November so we’ll be moving the whole company to Vodafone then.

If only they cared that people are not renewing contracts and moving on.

Surely Vodafone have paved the way for this to be done in Ireland. How much work behind the scenes needs to be done that they haven’t had time for all this time… and learning to tap into. I’d respect three more if they were honest and said it’s not their priority or focus to get up and running and they aren’t doing much to make it happen. Least they would be being honest that it’s not something they care about introducing instead of fobbing customers off with these tired responses.

I rang customer care today to enquire about my contract.

I said I was thinking of leaving to Sky Mobile unless eSIM for watches was going to launch soon, and the chap I was chatting to informed me that there was now a new tab on their screen relating to cellular watches…. He said he had heard nothing from management, but there was a meeting scheduled for tomorrow re the new iPhone and that there was a possibility cellular watches might be discussed too.

To be honest, I’ll believe it when I see it, but the fact that a tab has appeared on their screen within the last few weeks relating to watches is a good sign…

Here's hoping it's soon.

Rang today.  They still haven’t been told anything, but he confirmed the smart watch tab is there…

I've been reviewing this entire thread with disappointment.  My wife and I have been with Three for many many years.  I am about to purchase an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I merely assumed things would work seamlessly with Three Ireland, as they do with Three UK.  Short summary is I see no alternative but to move my wife's and my Three mobile plans/accounts to Vodafone.

@Three_Stacey any good news to share before we make this change? If not, no worries, we appreciate the help and support from Three over the years and we're sorry to have to part company owed to Three Ireland's inability to support what your colleagues in the UK have been supporting for quite some time now.
