@Add_10610 , I would give it till Friday when the iPhone 16 goes on general sale. The fact that there is a now a tab on the customer service agents’ screens has to be a good sign. If there’s no joy on Friday I’ll be jumping ship myself.
@Dalk - thank you very much, I will follow your advice. Do please post a response on Friday if you feel there is no positive answer and you are moving to Vodafone, and I will follow your footsteps here.
I'm very surprised, I saw this thread tonight for the first time, I was merely looking for tech articles on how to configure Three mobile to work with Apple Watch Ultra 2, and was not at all expecting a year of history of threads with Three saying "we're still looking in to it" for months on end.
My bad for assuming friends/colleagues who have this with Three UK meant it would be seamless for Three IRL. Very surprised indeed !!
@Add_10610 Three Ireland and UK have always been run as totally separate businesses, and I imagine the approaching merger of Vodafone and Three in GB is making them even more separate.
@pelowj - this merger is news to me, many thanks for sharing. The logical conclusion, to me, is the merger in UK will strengthen teams/tech/billing/advances, and in IRL it's likely Three will continue to significantly lag behind (as has been demonstrated in this thread). What a pity, this thread has surprised me a lot to be honest.
Please don’t take this the wrong way… but the constant denial of any knowledge of updates comes across a tad disingenuous when I was told by two separate agents on the phone about the new smart watch tab on the system.
@Three_Stacey It's ok to give us a non-concrete update. i.e. we're very nearly there, or they're still working on it but it's going to be a while off, or they're not working on it anymore and it's been shelved.
@Dalk we are preparing to launch eSIM wearables, these preparations lead to changes as we get everything in place for the launch. But at the moment I don't have a definite date on when it will go live. I know this is frustrating but I will let you know when I have more.
I understand that, and I’m sure you’re a frustrated as we are.
As @pelowj said, I’d be more than happy with even a rough estimate. I’d hate to leave the network next week and then eSIM for smart watches launch soon after, but I’d also hate to stick around indefinitely with it not launching.
