The broadband service in Ballydehob has been really bad since end of last week.
Router showing all three lights but only getting between 7 and 20 mbps whereas it's normally 100 to 120.
What is the problem?
It's me, again. It's the May Bank Holiday weekend, the village is thronged with tourists and there isn't a cloud in the sky. I'm outside looking in the same spot as the previous tests, and here are my Internet speed results. Again, absolutely fine all week until the population of the village increases at peak tourist times then no service, or very limited. Not enough to open speed tests on occasion. This was not in my contract.
All tests done outside, no buildings for 350 metres, high pressure, no clouds.same spot again.
4g wouldn't even connect
5G. This is the best result achieved at 5G
3G, the only connection I have and not able to upload work files or stream.
Hello, it's me, again.
I'm posting this mornings speed tests and speed tests just completed to show the deterioration in mobile broadband service from 3 in the area at peak times.
Same spot, outside, high pressure, sunny no clouds and no obstructions. You can see from my signal bar I have very good 'signal' just no Internet service at peak times. I have to turn off 5g and 4g just get a connection on 3g to send a message. And 3g is sporadic now at best.
This mornings speed tests at 8.30am
5G at 8.30am
4G at 8.30am
3G at 8.30am
Now for the speed tests at approx 4.30pm
5G, with 3 bars, can't even open page for speed test.
4g at 4.40pm, not enough bandwidth to run speed test
3g at 4.30pm. Just about usable.
So 3, over to you.
