Replacement SIM activation

When asked to give phone number for mobile broadband router replacement SIM activation, is it the broadband phone number or actual phone number that’s required?
For the other details asked eg if set up a password or something, I can’t remember, can I check on my3?

Do I need to actually insert the new SIM straight away as part of the activation process or ok to wait until the old SIM deactivates?

Hi there @Rikkinice thanks for reaching out to us here on 3Community.

 

When you are trying to activate a new sim, and you're asked to enter your mobile number this is the the mobile number attached to the sim that you are replacing. So, in this case it is your broadband number.

 

For the password, when you contact Customer Care have you ever been asked for a password as well as your name, address, and date of birth? If not then most likely you don't have a password set up.

 

The actual sim activation process can take a few hours, so I suggest waiting until you receive a confirmation email before putting in the new sim card.
