Recently changed our broadband to three home broadband. We have been using sky broadband u til the cot tact changed and last night when it had finished we tried connecting to house devices.
It connected to phones and most TVs ok but having issues with ring doorbell, sons xbox and older TVs when we selected 2.4 only on the admin settings nothing would connect
can anyone recommend how we can change settings etc to get this working?
Hey @SM19 , thanks for posting here, as this is a broadband query I would recommend calling our dedicated broadband team on 1913 for support.
Most "Smart" devices can only see the 2.4Ghz band from your router,
When I get a new smart home device, like a smart switch, i typically,
Disable the 5GHZ band on the router, so there is only 2.4GHZ been broadcast
Then the smart device can see the 2.4Ghz network, pair it to its app etc.
Then re-enabled the 5GHZ band again ( along with the 2.4Ghz)
