5g and legacy plans

Hi,

I’m just looking to find out about 5g and my legacy plan, I’m still on my very old plan (3Prepay) and can only access 4g even on my new iPhone 17.

I’m assuming it’s not possible to get 5G on this old plan correct? 

As a side question to that if no, if 4g coverage is ever wound down in the future like 3G what happens to people on 4g only plans?

Hey @GavinF thanks for posting here, I'd recommend popping through to me here on PM along with your full name, mobile number, address and date of birth and I can check the account for you to see if 5G is available as an add on for your plan.

With the question around what would happen if 4G was wound down, it's very hypothetical as in my opinion this may not happen for some time however if did this happen we would contact you if you were going to be affected.
