Are we getting scammed by 3 over the course of a year?

Hi,

When I started prepay with 3 I was topping up everytime on the day it was to expire for what I assumed was 28 days. It started on the 28th roughly every month then to 23th/24th, then the 18th to 14th then the 9th now the 5th. What is going on? Does this happen over the course of a year so I’ll be paying for 1 month that I am not getting?

Hey @Dominic_30692 thanks for posting here and I'd be happy to explain the Prepay plans for you. The Prepay plans are a 28 day plan and the allowances would be active for 28 days rather than per calander month. As the majority of months are 30 and 31 days this means that next month the top up date may be earlier than the month previous however you are still getting the 28 days as agreed.

For example if you topped up on January 1st then your plan would be active until January 28th rather than lasting until January 31st or similarly if you topped up on January 16th your 28 days would end on February 13th as its a 28 day plan due to there being more than 28 days in January.
