Prepay plan expired a day earlier than usual

Hi there,

Has there been a change to prepay plans? I am on an All You Can Eat data plan, and normally when I top up after midnight I can use the plan for that day plus the next 28 days. This means that if I topped up on Monday last month, I would need to top up again on the Tuesday the following month and so on.

I know this was how it worked because I had a recurring calendar set up to remind me, which never failed before.

However, early this morning I got the dreaded texts that all my credit had been drained on some data after midnight. This shouldn't be the case based on previous experience, as I had topped up at 12:15 am on Monday the 9th of February.

Can someone tell me if the policy has been changed to reduce the length of the data plan again?

Thanks,

Robbie

Hey @rrobbie thanks for posting here, on our Prepay plans when you activate the plan, the allowances remain active for 28 days and this policy hasn't been changed.

As you are topping up after midnight your allowances would have expired and you would be charged for calls, texts and data at an out of bundle rate until you top up again however I would recommend setting up a reoccurring top up to make sure that you never run out of allowances.

Hi Niall,

I always have a reminder set up so that I turn my data off before midnight, and then top up after midnight before turning the data back on.

My problem is that the data plan seems to have ended a day earlier than it normally does, so I didn't get a reminder and my credit was drained

@rrobbie I can understand your concerns and I can assure you that the plan would remain active for 28 days before you are charged for allowances outside your bundle.

As this is a public post I wouldn't be able to check your account and discuss this with you however I would recommend contacting our Web Messaging Team Here who can check the expiry dates and the charges for you.
