Has anyone else had this issue with the irish three.ie website/webshop ? "your transaction has been cancelled, please try again" I tried to buy 4 times. Each time charge was reported (in revolut) as reverted by Three. Their webshop does not work. I tried chrome, chrome incognito, chrome logged in as different user. I talked to agent whom could not give me an alternative way to pay for the sim only prepay purchase! What utter incompetence. He said to go to a shop. I will go to a shop. A vodafone one.

No I bought the simm in three nutGrove shopping centre where the whole process took about 4 minutes. For anyone reading this, I recommend going to a shop for the simm . The next three fail was trying to put credit on it! What a debacle. Only the unregistered internet url link works and you have to put in details every time including an email address!!!!. The pay by phone or text only works if you are in Ireland. It does not work in mainland Europe.If you already have a bill pay with three, then you cannot associate a prepay sim with it or with the same email address. Top drawer incompetence from three. It was so much easier to top up prepay 20+ years ago . It was a 2 minute task. Three.
Delighted to hear that you got sorted in-store. If you are attempting to top up from abroad by phone you can call 353833333333 and this will bring you to the same automated top-up system as if you had called 1744.
Alternatively, you can register the Prepay SIM for My3. Once you have the My3 account set up you can then make a manual top up through the My3App/Web App or you can also set up and manage a scheduled top-up so your account will automatically topped up every 28 days.
Just to clarify your above response for every one else that will read this, as it is not clear. You must have a UNIQUE email address to register a phone number /sim/account with Three. So if you are already registered with three for your billpay phone ,then you CANNOT RE-USE the same email address for prepay SIM account regisitration.(A Three fail in my opinion) In practice ,this means that you have to CREATE a NEW EMAIL address somewhere, in order to use the three prepay registration (and create new THREE account) . I dont know anyone that would go through the bother of having to manage yet another email address solely for the purpose of topping up their prepay account. But maybe some folks are fine with that.(Got 5 prepay phones for your kids? -Well then you are going to have to pay for 5 email addresses for them as welll)
In the situation that you are advising where someone may have 5 numbers that belong to kids, but the parent is looking to manage all 5 numbers from the one My3/email then this is possible by using the following steps.
Log into the My3 account you want all the numbers attached to.
On the top right of the screen there will be an icon button in the shape of a silhouette.
From this dropdown menu select Manage Profile.
On the next screen scroll down and there is an option to Manage My Account
On the next screen scroll down and select Add Account.
From here select Link Three Number and you will need to follow the steps to verify the number, in the case of it being a kids phone you will need access to the phone to complete this process as the number will be sent a verification code via SMS.
Once you have these steps selected you will be able to navigate between each of the numbers on the home page of your My3 account. If you are looking to add more numbers then you will need to follow the above process until you have all of the required numbers added.
If each person wants their own My3 account then in this instance you would need to have separate email addresses for each number.
