Voicemail scam

I received a text from (01) 960 9997 claiming to be three voicemail, saying dial 17100 to listen. This was immediately after a missed call from the same number
I called the real voicemail number and it prompts me to set up my inbox, so I'm concerned that someone has deleted my voicemail

@Fynn thanks for bringing this to our attention. As you pointed out 17100 is not the voicemail box number. 

Can you call 171 again and check that it is as it should be?

Indeed. Now other people claim that to be legit, if you call 171 you are told to also setup your voice mail which is lame. 

Not surprised though given the quality of Three.ie. What a bloody mess.

Same thing happened to me as well. +353 (86) 800 6759 This number called me and then I received a message says that From Three: You have a new voice mail. You can listen to your new message now by calling 17100. I called and it asked me to type a pin. I typed and then realized this is a scam. I am very concerned..

@Gunay_19692  when calling your voicemail you are asked for the pin this will be the pin you have set up for you to listen to your voicemail for security but don't worry as if this was a scam call they won't have access to your pin or details.
