Unable to receive verification code texts

Hi,

I recently ported my number from eir to 3 and I’ve had trouble receiving verification code texts from websites such as boots, mygov, PayPal.I need these codes in order to log in but I am not receiving them. Does 3 block these verification code texts as they think they’re spam?

Having the same issue. Just switched from Vodafone. Very annoying!!! Nothing works. Not receiving any verification texts. @Anonymous are you blocking this?

I can understand your frustration @KayKay to do most things these days you have to have access to verification codes. 

I'd love to help you with this I just need a little more info, like are you having any other difficulties with your services? I mean are you able to make and receive calls and texts? Is the data working for you? Also, what make and model phone are you using? And which apps are you having difficulty with?

Have you reported this to any of our customer care teams? I'm just wondering if this is already being investigated, if it is do you have the reference number I'd be happy to check on the progress of the investigation.

No. Personally im leaving when my contract is up next month and getting some not 60 euro a month for nothing.

What works for me, every time, and I am not getting texts from ROS, facebook, instagram, Azure , google and strangely enough (*cough*) sim cutover services

Perform the action you need to get the text

Get no test (yayyyy)

text BLOCK IT STOP to 50216

You will get a message saying the the service is not active

Go back to the service that needs to send you the text and retry

Receive text

You will need to do this EVERY time you need to get a text from a blocked service. They really need to raise this with I.T/Dev/Ops/Anyone other than tier 2 support

Are you still having difficulty receiving verification texts? Is customer care already investigating this for you? Did they give you a reference number I'd be happy to check on the progress of the investigation for you.
