Vodafone Ireland have recently started issuing ESims in ROI. I think Three should follow suit soon, handsets such as iPhone only allow dual sim using one of these
I see that https://www.three.ie/shop/phones.html has a filter labelled "SIM Type", of which the two options are "SIM Card" and "SIM Card and eSIM". Is this new? If so, it would suggest the choice of eSIM is finally an impending option for Three.
Every European country that Three operates in currently offers eSIM except Ireland. It genuinely boggles my mind trying to figure out why Ireland is the only country lagging behind the rest of Three.
@Toryb Well done for the research, but you must understand that each country has different infrastructure and history. E.G. Three took on 02 here etc. Tóg é go bog é
I know that you and your colleagues are not personally responsible for the fact that things are going so badly at Three with eSIM, but I would have wished that someone from management had had the balls to take a concrete stance on this topic!
After all, they are scaring away the most important thing they have: their customers and they pay their salaries!
Instead, the loyal customers seem to be stalled with constant apologies.
